Triumph has announced a limited-period, year-end offer on the Scrambler 400X in India. The company is offering the bike with accessories worth Rs. 12,500 for free and the offer is valid from 1 December to 31 December, 2024. The list of accessories that are a part of this offer includes lower engine bars, high mudguard kit, coated windscreen, luggage rack kit, tank pad, and a Triumph branded T-shirt. The motorcycle costs Rs. 2.64 lakh, ex-showroom.
This offer has certainly been introduced to boost the sales of the motorcycle. As per an online report from August, the company had intended to launch two new/updated models before the festive season and spike the sales to 10,000 units per month. While Bajaj did launch the 2024 Speed 400 and new Speed T4 in September, the sales of its 400cc bikes had been collectively hovering around 3,000-4,000 units till October 2024. The new offer on the Scrambler 400X should help the company speed up the sales to some extent.
Powering the motorcycle is a 398.15cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 39.5bhp and 37.5Nm. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox along with an assist and slipper clutch. As for the cycle parts, it rides on 19-17-inch alloy wheels that are suspended by USD forks and a monoshock. The bike weighs 185kg (kerb) and boasts a fuel capacity of 13 litres. The sea height is a bit tall at 835mm. Other features include a semi-digital instrument cluster, switchable dual-channel ABS, traction control, full-LED lighting, and a Type-C charging port.
