- TriumphScrambler 400X priced at Rs 2.63 lakh
- Available in three colours
- Gets off-road focused equipment
Triumph Motorcycles has launched the 400X in India and is offering the motorcycle in a choice of three paint options in the country.
Before we tell you what these colours are, it is interesting to know that Triumph has replicated the colour schemes of the bigger Scrambler 1200 for the smaller version. So, there is the Matt Khaki Green, which is a base colour teamed with Fusion White stripe running slant on the fuel tank. In a similar fashion there is Carnival Red with Phantom Black. You could also opt for the Phantom Black colour option with Silver Ice. All three colour options are offered with a brown split seat setup and golden fork bottles.
The Scrambler 400X is based on the same platform as the Speed 400, although with a few changes that make it off-road friendly. It gets a different sub-frame, a bigger front wheel and longer travel suspension. In addition to that the Scrambler also comes with dual-purpose tyres, knuckle guards, handlebar brace pads and rugged-looking dual exhaust cans. That said, the Triumph Scrambler 400X is powered by a 399cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that makes 39.5bhp and 37.5Nm and gets a six-speed gearbox. The Scrambler also benefits from a slip-and-assist clutch. As for features, it gets LED lighting all over, switchable ABS, traction control, ride-by-wire, USB charging port, and a semi-digital instrument console. The display features an analogue speedometer and an LCD for the gear-position indicator, fuel level, tripmeters, odometer, tachometer, and other readings.
In terms of competition, the Triumph Scrambler 400X goes up against the Yezdi Scrambler and the Royal Enfield Scram 411 in the country.
