The Scrambler 400 X is the more adventure-oriented version of the Speed 400. The main differences between both bikes lie in terms of styling and cycle parts. The Scrambler, staying true to its genre, rides on a larger 19-17-inch wheel combination that is suspended by a longer travel suspension setup. The engine, although remains the same 398cc mill, boasts a revised final drive ratio for a punchier low-end performance. This engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox that is accompanied by an assist and slipper clutch.
Although the design of the Scrambler 400 X is inspired by the British scramblers of yore, the feature list is quintessentially contemporary. The list includes a ride-by-wire, switchable traction control system, LED lights throughout and a part digital-analogue instrument cluster. This cluster shows ride data like fuel, gear indicator and two odometers. Plus, there's a C-type charging port that comes as standard. Triumph has introduced the Scrambler 400 X in three colour options - Khaki Green, Carnival Red and Phantom Black.
