-New Pearl Metallic White colour introduced
-Powered by a 398.15cc, liquid-cooled, engine
-Bookings are open
Triumph Motorcycles India has launched a new colour for the Scrambler 400X. It is called Pearl Metallic White and joins the three other colours that the Scrambler 400X is available with. These are called Phantom Black/ Silver Ice, Matt Khaki Green/Fusion White and Carnival Red/ Phantom Black.
The Scrambler 400X in the Pearl Metallic White colour on the fuel tank looks pretty good. There’s a black stripe that runs from the top to the bottom of the fuel tank and adds contrast to the appearance of the bike. In fact, even the brown seats go well with the white colour on the fuel tank. One can also spot the blacked out exhaust pipe, right from the headers to the tail pipe.
Mechanically, there are no differences. The Scrambler 400X continues to be powered by a 398.15cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. It produces 39.5bhp at 8,000rpm and 37.5Nm at 6.500rpm. There’s a six-speed gearbox that’s paired with this engine. In our tests, we’ve found this engine to be quite capable of handling the demands of commuting in the city and have enough power to cruise down the highway over long distances.
Under the bodywork, there is a hybrid spine/tubular perimeter frame that is suspended by a 43mm USD Big Piston Fork and gas charged monoshock. The bike rides on a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel while braking duties are taken care of by a 320mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc.
The new colour should add some fresh appeal to the Triumph Scrambler 400X. It continues to remain one of the most well-built motorcycles in the segment, be it in terms of quality of parts or fit and finish. The bike is priced at Rs 2.64 lakh, ex-showroom.
