Triumph Motorcycles India recently launched the Scrambler 900 in India just a couple of days after it introduced the Speed Twin 900. Now, if you are wondering what’s new or different on the Scrambler 900, we tell you all that you need to know about the motorcycle in this article.
New colours
Apart from dropping the ‘Street’ from its name, the Scrambler 900 receives new colours as part of the package. These include Jet Black, Matte Khakhi, and Carnival Red with Jet Black. The Jet Black and Matte Khakhi colour options feature a single-tone finish. Meanwhile, the Carnival Red with Jet Black option sports a dual-tone finish and features black stripes on the fuel tank.
Pricing
Now, Triumph has priced the new Scrambler 900 from Rs 9.45 lakh for the Jet Black version. The Matte Khaki colour will set you back by Rs 9.58 lakh while the dual-tone colour is priced at Rs 9.75 lakh, ex-showroom.
Engine
Powering the Scrambler 900 is the same 900cc, parallel-twin engine as the Speed Twin. This parallel-twin engine that comes mated to a five-speed gearbox churns out 64.1bhp at 7,250rpm and 80Nm at 3,250rpm.
Hardware
Now, to make it off-road friendly, the Scrambler 900 is equipped with spoke wheels that are wrapped in dual-purpose tyres. These are suspended from telescopic forks up front and twin shocks at the rear. Braking duties, on the other hand, are taken care of by disc brakes t both ends and a dual-channel ABS as standard.
