-Part of first anniversary celebration offer
-Offer valid till 31 July
-Triumph has sold over 50,000 of these bikes across 50 countries
Triumph Motorcycles is celebrating the first anniversary of the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X this year. To commemorate this milestone, the company has announced Rs 10,000 off on both the motorcycles until 31 July. The effective price of the Speed 400 post the discount is Rs 2.24 lakh and that of the Scrambler 400X is Rs 2.54 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
The timing of the discount couldn't be any better for Triumph. The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450, which will be the Speed 400's chief competition, is all set to be unveiled on 17 July. It is poised to be the most affordable 450cc bike in the RE line-up and the price is expected to begin at Rs 2.30 lakh, ex-showroom.
The Triumph Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400X are the first fruits of the Triumph-Bajaj partnership. The bikes were launched in June, 2023 and Triumph adds that both the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400X have crossed the 50,000 unit sales mark across 50 countries in a span of one year. The countries includes India, UK, USA and Japan.
Both motorcycles are based on the same platform but differ a lot in their applications. The Triumph Speed 400 is a modern-retro roaster while the Scrambler 400X, as the name suggests, is designed for both on-road and light off-road use. In comparison to the Speed 400, the Scrambler has bigger wheels and longer travel suspension. The tyres are of the block pattern type unlike the road biased tyres on the Speed 400.
Common to both bikes is a 398cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 39.5bhp at 8,000rpm and 37.5Nm at 6,500rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The bike goes up against the Hero Mavrick 400.
