- Dispatches have started from the Chakan factory
- Test ride and display vehicles to be available very soon
- Triumph Speed 400 is currently available for Rs. 2.33 lakh
Triumph Motorcycles India has confirmed that it will commence the deliveries of the newly launched Speed 400 in our market towards the end of this month, i.e. July 2023. The company has released a press statement confirming the dispatches of its first sub-500cc motorcycle from Bajaj Auto’s Chakan facility in Pune, India.
Notably, the new Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X have received an unprecedented response from customers. In fact, the first 10,000 units of the Speed 400, which were available at a discounted price tag of Rs. 2.23 lakh, have been booked already. Thus, this retro-segment product from Triumph Motorcycles India is now available at Rs. 2.33 lakh. The company further added that its dealerships will contact the first lot of customers to complete balance formalities and take delivery of their Speed 400 motorcycles. Meanwhile, the display and test ride vehicles will be available at all Triumph showrooms very soon.
As reported earlier, the waiting period for the new Speed 400 is between 10 weeks to 16 weeks, depending on the location. However, this period will likely decrease when Bajaj opens more Triumph showrooms nationwide. Notably, the company mentioned that it has a production capacity of 5,000 units per month in the Chakan plant. This could be further increased if there’s a reasonable demand.
Meanwhile, the company is preparing to launch its second most affordable motorcycle in the Indian market, the Scrambler 400 X. This new model is scheduled to be launched in India in October this year. Notably, the bookings for both motorcycles are currently open online.
