- To be priced at Rs. 2.33 lakh from 1 January, 2024
- No changes made in the price of the Scrambler 400 X
Triumph launched the Speed 400 in India in July for Rs. 2.33 lakh (ex-showroom), but it was offered with a special discount of Rs. 10,000 for the first 10,000 bookings. However, the company has now extended this special price offer for the Speed 400 till 31 December, 2023.
From 1 January, 2024 onwards, the Triumph Speed 400 will be offered at the original price of Rs. 2.33 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, the Scrambler 400 X will continue to be available at its launch price of Rs. 2.63 lakh (ex-showroom). The 400 twins are jointly developed by Bajaj Auto and Triumph and will be sold in the 50-plus Triumph World showrooms across 40-plus cities in the country.
The Speed 400 is powered by a 398.15cc, liquid-cooled motor that makes 39.5bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 39Nm at 6,500rpm. The single-cylinder motor comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle comes loaded with features such as ride-by-wire throttle, full-LED lighting, dual-channel ABS, and a semi-digital instrument cluster.
The Triumph Speed 400 rivals the Harley-Davidson X440, Royal Enfield Classic 350, Honda CB300R, and the KTM 390 Duke.
