- Anniversary offer validity extended by a month
- Rs. 10,000 discount on the ex-showroom prices of both bikes
- Speed 400 is priced at Rs. 2.24 lakh now
Triumph has announced that the anniversary offer on the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 X has been extended till 31 August, 2024. Under this offer, buyers can avail of a discount of Rs. 10,000 on the ex-showroom prices of both these bikes.
The anniversary offer was announced on 1 July to celebrate Triumph’s milestone of globally selling over 50,000 units of its entry-level motorcycles within a year of their launch. While the previous validity of the offer was till 30 July, it has now been extended by a month. The company says this has been done to acknowledge the good response received by its customers in July. However, we think the enquiries and bookings of these Triumphs have been affected by the launch of the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 and the offer has been extended to tackle the same. With the offer applicable, the ex-showroom prices of the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 X are Rs. 2.24 lakh and Rs. 2.54 lakh, respectively.
This announcement comes on the heels of Bajaj Auto recently inaugurating the 100th Triumph dealership in India. This has been done within a year of the India launch of the Speed 400. Now, Triumph stores are available in over 75 cities across India. The company plans to have a total of more than 200 Triumph dealerships in the next one year.
The Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X are powered by the same 398.15cc. single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 39.5bhp and 37.5Nm. Both bikes get a six-speed gearbox, an assist and slipper clutch, full-LED lighting, a semi-digital console, and dual-channel ABS. On the Scrambler, ABS can be switched off for the rear wheel. Both bikes are different in terms of wheel size, suspension travel, and dimensions.
