- Speed 400 waiting period details revealed
- 10-16 weeks waiting period
- Production capacity could be increased
The Triumph Speed 400 was launched earlier this month with an extremely attractive price tag of Rs 2.23lakh (ex-showroom). This resulted in over 10,000 bookings in just a few days, and now this motorcycle has a long waiting period.
According to a few dealers, the waiting period for the bike is between 10 weeks to 16 weeks, depending on the location. The dealers are communicating about this to the consumers who have booked the bike. But the waiting period will likely decrease when Bajaj opens more Triumph showrooms nationwide.
At the time of the launch, the company mentioned its 5000 units per month production capacity in its new Chakan plan for the Triumph bikes. But the capacity can also be increased if there’s a reasonable demand.
We believe Bajaj will aggressively expand the production capacity for these 400cc bikes over the next few months as the demand will likely increase. The Scrambler 400X is yet to be launched, and the festive season is just a few weeks away.
