-Limited to 270 units worldwide
-Priced at $25,995 or Rs 21.7 lakh
Triumph Motorcycles and Swiss luxury watchmaker Breitling have collaborated to launch a limited edition Speed Triple 1200 RR. The production of the motorcycle is limited to 270 units only and features a number of special bits that makes the bike stand out from the standard Speed Triple 1200 RR.
Exclusive to the Speed Triple 1200 RR Breitling Limited Edition is a silver and black paint scheme with hand painted, gold coloured details. The seat is finished in leather with French stitching and adding to the premium appeal of the bike are the carbon fibre bits. It also gets a special, gold coloured Breitling logo on the tank, laser etched Breitling logo on the rear wheel hub cover and a custom start up animation on the TFT instrument cluster with the Breitling letterings. Rounding out the list is an Akrapovic exhaust.
Mechanically, the bike is identical to the standard bike. The Triumph Speed 1200 RR is powered by a 1,160cc, inline-triple that makes 178bhp. The chassis is suspended by Ohlins electronic suspension while braking duties are taken care of by twin 320mm discs at the front with Brembo Stylema calipers and a 220mm disc at the rear with a twin-piston Brembo caliper.
To commemorate the partnership with Triumph, Breitling has also launched the Chronomat B01 42 watch. The owners of this bike have the option to purchase a made-to-order exclusive watch that has an alligator strap, carbon fibre dial and a caseback with the motorcycle's limited edition number. The watch alone will set you back by $11,900 or Rs 9.93 lakh.
The bike, meanwhile, is priced at $25,995 or Rs 21.7 lakh, making it a properly exclusive collectors item. As for any allocations for India, there is no word yet from Triumph.
