Triumph recently launched the Speed Twin 900 in the country a month after unveiling the motorcycle globally. Apart from a new name, it gets minor changes and a slight hike in pricing. So here we tell you everything you need to know about the Speed Twin 900.
New colours
The Triumph Speed Twin 900 isn’t any different from the Street Twin when it comes to styling. Sporting a modern-retro design, the Speed Twin gets minimal bodywork. However, as part of the update, the motorcycle receives new colour schemes. These include Triumph Jet Black, Matte Ironstone, and a new Matte Silver Ice paint too that features silver and yellow graphics on the fuel tank.
Pricing
Now, the price of the Speed Twin 900 varies depending on the colour option you choose. The Jet Black is priced at Rs 8.35 lakh, making it the most affordable option. On the other hand, the Ironstone and Silver Ice are priced at Rs 8.48 lakh, ex-showroom.
Engine
Powering the neo-retro styled motorcycle is a 900cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. The motor produces 64.1bhp at 7,500rpm and 80Nm of peak torque at 3,800rpm and comes mated to a five-speed gearbox.
Hardware
The Speed Twin 900 is based on a tubular steel twin cradle frame which uses telescopic forks up front and twin shocks at the rear. Meanwhile braking is done by single discs at both ends with dual-channel ABS.
