- 2019 Speed Twin pictures leaked
- Powered by 1200cc parallel-twin motor
- Official unveil at 2018 EICMA
A couple of pictures of the upcoming Triumph Speed Twin have been leaked online. These images have been clicked during the 2018 Triumph Motorcycles dealer’s conference.
The British maker used to sell the 500cc Speed Twins between 1950 and 1960. It decided to re-trademark the name two years ago. And now, it’s all set to launch this bike at the upcoming 2018 EICMA Show in Italy.
A lot of design inspiration for the Speed Twin comes from the Street Twin, an entry-level motorcycle. But now, the bike is equipped with a bigger 1200cc parallel-twin motor that makes around 97bhp. This is the same engine that powers the 1200cc Bonnevilles. The bike is rumoured to be built around the Thruxton chassis, but the swingarm is likely to be from the Bonneville. The Speed Twin is equipped with alloy wheels, LED headlamps, single seat and latest tech that is usually seen on most of the Triumph bikes.
We’ll get the detailed specifications and features of the Triumph in the next few days. Honestly, we are as excited as you. Will this bike make its way to India? Definitely! But only sometime next year.
