Triumph has started accepting pre-bookings for the new 2021 Speed Twin. Customers can now pre-book the modern classic motorcycle by paying a token amount of Rs 50,000 at their nearest Triumph dealership. The British brand unveiled the modern classic motorcycle on 1 June. However, we are yet to know the pricing of the same. The bike is offered in three colour options: Jet Black, Red Hopper and Matte Storm Grey.
The new Speed Twin is a muscular and stylish looking motorcycle. The bike carries a circular theme for a few of its equipment like the headlamp, speedometer, indicators and mirrors. It further comes with a single-piece seat with a grab handle strap, chunky 14.5-litre fuel tank, upgraded riding modes, digital-analogue instrument cluster, new wheels, new silencers and a speed twin badge on both sides.
Powering the modern classic motorcycle is a 1200cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled SOHC engine that produces 98.6bhp at 7,250rpm and 112Nm at 4,250rpm. All this power and torque is taken to its wheels via a six-speed gearbox.
The ride here is taken care of by 43mm USD Marzocchi forks at the front and Twin RSUs with adjustable preload at the rear. Meanwhile, the braking duty is handled by 320mm discs twin-disc with Brembo M50 radial calipers at the front and 220mm single disc with Nissin two-piston floating caliper at the rear assisted by ABS.
