Triumph Motorcycles has finally revealed the price of its new bike, the Bonneville Speedmaster in UK. This new cruiser has been priced at £11,650 (Rs 10.28 lakhs) which is approximately £1000 (Rs 88,000) more than the Bobber, its single-seater sibling.
This pricing is for the Speedmaster Jet Black paint scheme. For other colour options like Cranberry Red and Jet Black/White Fusion, you need to shell out £125 and £300 respectively. The Bonneville Speedmaster was first unveiled at the 2017 India Bike Week for the Indian market. The launch has been planned in April and that’s when the Harley-Davidson will see a big rival.
The Speedmaster is powered by the same 1200cc High-Torque motor as the Bobber. This motor churns out 76bhp at 6100rpm and 106Nm at 4000rpm. It also shares the Bobber’s ‘swing-cage’ type swingarm. Although, the bike gets a new sub-frame with a removable pillion seat and grab-rail unlike the Bobber. The Speedmaster gets a suspension upgrade with 41mm KYB forks up front. The rear gets a KYB monoshock that is hidden away under the seat. The bike also gets Brembo brakes for the front and a single-disc Nissin at the rear. Being a cruiser, it gets a fuel tank capacity of 12-litres. Just like the rest of the Triumph line-up, the Speedmaster too gets two riding modes – Road and Rain. It also gets traction cruise control, control system which is switchable and ABS.
We’re expecting Triumph to price the Speedmaster between Rs 9.60 lakh and Rs 10 lakh, which is around Rs 50,000 more than the Bobber. It will be a completely-knocked-down (CKD) unit and will compete with the Harley-Davidson
