- Triumph Street Scrambler BS6 India launch on 12 October, 2021
- BS6 engine to make 64.1bhp and 80Nm
- To be priced lower than the Sandstorm edition
Triumph Motorcycles India will update its product portfolio with the launch of the new Street Scrambler tomorrow. The Indian arm of the British two-wheeler maker already offers the Sandstorm edition of the Street Scrambler on our shores at an ex-showroom (India) price tag of Rs 9.95 lakh. The standard model should retail at a lower price tag than the Sandstorm edition.
In terms of design, the Triumph Street Scrambler will retain styling elements such as a round headlamp, tall-set exhausts, split-style seats, 19-inch front/17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels, and dual-purpose tyres. The motorcycle will be available in three colours – Urban Grey, Jet Black, and Matte Khaki/ Matte Ironstone. While the styling remains similar to its predecessor, the motorcycle gets a mechanical upgrade to comply with the newest emission norms.
The new Street Scrambler will be powered by a BS6-compliant 900cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 64.1bhp at 7,250rpm and 80Nm of peak torque at 3,250rpm. The motor is linked to a five-speed gearbox.
