Triumph Motorcycles has announced that it will offer just 25 units of the Street Scrambler Sandstorm in the Indian market. The company will produce 775 units of the motorcycle worldwide. The Street Scrambler Sandstorm is available at Rs 9.65 lakh (ex-showroom, India), and the company has announced a special monsoon offer through which buyers can purchase the motorcycle with EMIs starting from Rs 12,999.
The limited-edition Triumph Street Scrambler Sandstorm edition packs several styling upgrades over the standard model. These upgrades include brushed alloy sump guard, a high front mudguard, and a new headlight bezel with a black grille. The limited-edition motorcycle will be available in a single paint option – Sandstorm Matte Storm Grey paint.
The mechanical specifications are similar to the standard Street Scrambler. Linked to a five-speed transmission, the BS6-compliant 900cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine makes 64.1bhp at 7,250rpm and 80Nm of peak torque at 3,250rpm.
The hardware, too, is similar to the standard Street Scrambler. The suspension tasks are handled by 41mm telescopic front forks and twin-sided rear springs. The anchoring setup comprises a single 310mm disc at the front and a 255mm rotor at the back while the safety net is handled by a dual-channel ABS.
