Triumph Street Triple 765 – what else can you buy?

Triumph recently launched a bigger and improved version of the Street Triple, now called as Street Triple 765 in India. When we speak about the middleweight motorcycle segment, potential customers have a wide variety of motorcycles to choose from, namely - Triumph Bonneville T100, Triumph Bonneville T120, Triumph Bobber, Ducati Monster 797, Ducati Scrambler full throttle, Kawasaki Z900, Harley Davidson Iron 883 and the Benelli TNT 899.

The Triumph Street Triple 765 is powered by a 765cc, inline three-cylinder engine that generates 111bhp of power at 11,250rpm and 73Nm of torque at 9,100rpm. This powerful engine comes mated to a six-speed transmission. Currently available only in S variant, the bike comes loaded with features like ABS, traction control, a quickshifter, and adjustable lever. The bike is priced at Rs 8.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Triumph Bonneville T100 is powered by a 900cc engine that generates 54bhp of power at 5,900rpm and 80Nm of torque at 3,230rpm. The bike comes mated to a five speed-transmission and it gets ABS as standard with a 310mm single disc in the front and a 255mm disc in the rear. Inspired by the retro look of the 70s, the bike gets upright handlebar, twin-pod console and round headlamp. The Bonneville T100 is priced at Rs 8.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The bike comes mated to a six-speed transmission, but it misses on the electronics and ABS is the only standard safety equipment which is offered. Speak of inline-4 bikes in the country, and Kawasaki Z900 immediately gets a mention. The bike is powered by a 948cc engine that generates 123bhp of power at 9,500rpm and 99Nm of torque at 7,700rpm. The bike comes mated to a six-speed transmission and only gets slipper clutch with assist technology as a standard equipment. The Z900 is priced at Rs 9.0 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
