-Street Triple R gets new Matt Baja Orange and new Pure White colour
-Street Triple RS available with new Phantom Black colour
Triumph Motorcycles India have introduced new colour options on their popular roadsters, the Street Triple R and the Street Triple RS.
The Triumph Street Triple R is available in two new colour options. The first one is the Matt Baja Orange and will appeal to those who want a bold colour that’ll make the bike stand out in a sea of motorcycles. It is priced at Rs 10.43 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
The other option is a much more subtle colour called Pure White and it is relatively cheaper at Rs 10.17 lakh. It looks pretty neat on the Street Triple R and the small orange stripes on the body panels add a little contrast. With the addition of the two new colours, the Street Triple R is now available in four colours. The other two colours are Silver Ice and Crystal White.
The Street Triple RS gets a new Phantom Black colour, giving the bike a rather stealthy appearance. There is, however, some much needed contrast offered by the yellow graphics although these are minimal. The price of the bike in this colour is Rs 12.07 lakh, ex-showroom. The other colours, Carnival Red and Cosmic Yellow are also priced at the same point. The Silver Ice colour, however, is cheaper by about Rs 30,000.
The Triumph Street Triple R is one of the most engaging street naked motorcycles in the segment. It is powered by a 765cc, inline-triple engine that makes 118.4bhp at 11,500rpm and 80Nm at 9,500rpm. The Street Triple RS’ engine makes 128.2bhp at 12,000rpm but the peak torque is the same. The ‘RS’ is the sportier and focused bikes with fully adjustable Showa 41mm USD fork and an Ohlins STX40 monoshock which is also fully adjustable.
In terms of competition, the Street Triple R goes head to head with the Kawasaki Z900 while the Street Triple RS goes up against the Ducati Monster.
