- Available in three colours
- Is the top-spec model in the Street Triple 765 line
- Pricing varies as per the colour options
A few days ago, Triumph India finally launched the Street Triple range in India and it’s available in two variants: R and RS. The latter is the top-spec model and is available in three paint schemes: Silver Ice, Carnival Red, and Cosmic Yellow.
The asking price for the Triumph Street Triple RS is Rs. 11.81 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the Silver Ice colour while the Carnival Red and Cosmic Yellow options cost Rs. 26,000 more. However, all three options are single-tone with accents of contrasting colours.
The Silver Ice drapes the entire bike in a shade of grey with burnt orange accents on the tank shrouds and belly pan while the Carnival Red covers the Street Triple RS in a shade of red with dark grey highlights. Last but not least, the Cosmic Yellow option is the brightest of all three and accentuates the bike’s sharp styling even more.
Triumph has powered the Street Triple RS with a 765cc, inline-three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that dishes out 128.2bhp at 12,000rpm and a torque of 80Nm at 9,500rpm. It’s linked to a six-speed gearbox and benefits from a quickshifter as well. The list of rider aids comprises full-LED lighting, cornering ABS, a lean-sensitive traction control system, wheelie control, lap timer, cruise control system, a five-inch TFT display, Bluetooth module, and an additional ride mode (Road, Rain, Sport, Track, and Rider).
The Triumph Street Triple RS rivals the DucatiMonster, Ducati Streetfighter V2, BMW F900R, and Kawasaki Z900.
