- Recall addressed an issue with wiring harness
- Could result in stalling of the engine
- No official recall in India as of now
Triumph Motorcycles has issued a recall for the Street Twin and Street Scrambler in the USA.
The recall addresses a misrouted wiring harness and affects motorcycles manufactured between 4 October 2018 to 21 April 2020. According to the recall statement, the wiring harness may make contact with the main frame headstock. And with constant steering inputs, the wiring could rub on the lug, resulting in damage. Furthermore, this could result in the engine stalling without warning.
While Triumph Motorcycles hasn’t released an official statement for a recall in India, we suggest owners to check the wiring harness for any signs of wear or visit the nearest dealership.
