- Priced similar to the BS4 model
- Available in three colour options
- Makes 65bhp and 80Nm of torque
Triumph Motorcycles has updated its Indian portfolio with the launch of the BS6-compliant Street Twin at Rs 7,45,000, which is similar to the BS4 model. The colour palette includes three options – Jet Black, Matt Ironstone and Korosi Red. While the Jet Black paint is available for Rs 7,45,000, the Matt Ironstone and Korosi Red colours are priced at Rs 7,58,000.
The 900cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, eight-valve, SOHC motor produces 65bhp of power at 7,500rpm and 80Nm of peak torque at 3,700rpm. The motor is linked to a five-speed gearbox that benefits from an assist clutch. Other features include ride-by-wire tech, multipoint sequential electronic fuel injection and two-into-two exhaust system with twin brushed silencers.
The styling and hardware components remain similar to the BS4 model, and the Street Twin BS6 continues to use tubular steel cradle frame, semi-digital instrument cluster, cast alloy wheels, KYB 41mm front forks and preload-adjustable KYB twin suspension at the rear. The anchoring setup includes a 310mm single disc at the front and a 220mm rotor at the back while the safety net includes dual-channel ABS and traction control.
Styling cues include a retro design that is complemented by round headlight, curvy design, flat seat and spherical rear-view mirrors.
