Triumph Motorcycles has listed the BS6-compliant Street Twin on its India website. The motorcycle, despite the update, continues to retail at the same price tag as the BS4 model. Here we list the top five highlights of the Triumph Street Twin BS6.
Design
The BS6-compliant Triumph Street Twin retains the styling of the BS4 motorcycle. Thus, the retro design comprise of curvy design, round headlight, spherical rear-view mirrors, fork gaiters and a flat seat. The motorcycle rides on alloy wheels in 18-inch front and 17-inch rear setup. The feature list also comprises of a semi-digital instrument cluster. The Street Twin can be customised with over 140 accessories.
Colours
The Triumph Street Twin is available in three colour options – Jet Black, Matt Ironstone and Korosi Red. The prices vary depending on the colour selected.
Price
The Jet Black paint is priced at Rs 7,45,000 while the Matt Ironstone and Korosi Red colours are available at a slightly premium tag of Rs 7,58,000.
Hardware
The hardware components remain similar to the BS4 model. Thus, Street Twin BS6 continues to use KYB-sourced 41mm front forks and preload-adjustable KYB twin rear suspension to perform the shock absorption tasks. The braking setup comprises of a 310mm disc and a 220mm disc at the front and the back respectively while the safety net includes dual-channel ABS and traction control. The motorcycle is built around a tubular steel cradle frame.
Engine
The 900cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine is tuned to 65bhp of maximum power at 7,500rpm and 80Nm of peak torque at 3,700rpm. The five-speed gearbox benefits from an assist clutch.
