Triumph recently updated the Street Twin in India to comply with BS6 emission norms. The motorcycle is priced at Rs 7.45 lakh (ex-showroom), the same as its BS4 counterpart. So if you are in the lookout for motorcycles at a similar price, we list out the options you can consider.
Similar to the Triumph Street Twin, there is the Kawasaki W800, although in an attire that is more retro than modern. The W800 which is priced at Rs 6.99 lakh is inspired by the retro Kawasaki W1 from the ‘60s and is adorned with loads of chrome for a proper classic look. Nevertheless, the Kawasaki W800 comes with modern features like full-LED lighting, a small LCD screen fitted in the twin-pod instrument cluster, and a dual-channel ABS. Powering the motorcycle is a 773cc, parallel-twin motor that is capable of churning out 47bhp of power and 62.9Nm of torque.
Kawasaki also offers the Versys 650 which was recently updated to be BS6 compliant around the price of the Street Twin. The Versys is an adventure-touring motorcycle complete with long-travel suspension, comfy seats, and a tall windscreen. It also features a 21-litre fuel tank to ensure fewer fuel stops. Kawasaki has plonked a 649cc, parallel-twin engine that churns out 65.7bhp and 61Nm of torque.
