Triumph Motorcycles India has announced the launch of the new Street Twin EC1 Special Edition at an ex-showroom (Pan India) price tag of Rs 8.85 lakh. The EC1 Special Edition adds a unique custom-inspired scheme to the Street Twin and it will be available for one year only.
The Street Twin EC1 features a Matte Aluminium Silver and Matte Silver Ice fuel tank along with hand-painted silver coach lining, dedicated new EC1 graphics, and the Triumph badge. The side panels get a Matte Silver Ice finish while the mudguards get Matte Aluminium Silver colour. The motorcycle also gets black 10-spoke wheels, a black headlamp cowl, black-finished mirrors, and black signature-shaped engine covers. A Matte Silver Ice fly screen is available as an optional extra.
The changes to the Street Twin EC1 are limited to the styling upgrades. The mechanical specifications, on the other hand, remain identical to the standard motorcycle. Thus, the Street Twin EC1 uses a BS6-compliant, 900cc, twin-cylinder engine that produces 64.1bhp of power at 7,500rpm and 80Nm of peak torque at 3,800rpm. The motor is linked to a five-speed gearbox.
The hardware on the motorcycle, similar to the standard Street Twin, includes 41mm cartridge front forks, preload-adjustable twin rear shocks, single discs on both wheels, and Pirelli Phantom Sports Comp tyres. The electronic rider aids comprise ABS, switchable Traction Control, and two riding modes (Rain and Road).
