- Teaser image posted on the company’s social channels
- Black Editions feature an all-black finish
- The bikes retain the specifications from the standard motorcycles
Triumph Motorcycles India has posted a teaser image of its upcoming, special edition motorcycles on its social media handles. While the company has not revealed the details about the products, we understand that the British marquee will launch the BS6-compliant T100 Black and T120 Black in the Indian market on June 12.
The T100 Black and the T120 Black trade chrome highlights for an all-black look. The fully blacked-out details include wheel rims, engine finish, mirrors, headlamp rim, indicators, and twin-sided peashooter exhaust. The changes, however, are limited to the styling. The mechanical specifications, on the other hand, remain similar to the standard motorcycles.
Thus, the T100 Black uses a 900cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, eight-valve engine that produces 54.3bhp at 5,750rpm and 76.73Nm at 3,050rpm. The motor is linked to a five-speed transmission. The T120 Black uses a 1,200cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, eight-valve motor that is tuned to churn out 79bhp at 6,550rpm and 105Nm at 3,100rpm. The higher displacement model uses a six-speed gearbox.
Both bikes use KYB-sourced, 41 mm cartridge forks at the front and preload-adjustable KYB twin shocks at the back. The braking system on the T100 Black includes single discs on both ends while the T120 Black comes equipped with twin rotors at the front and a single disc at the back.
Apart from the T100 Black and the T120 Black, Triumph Motorcycles will introduce the Tiger 900 series and the Street Triple R in the Indian market very soon. The launch details about the middleweight adventure tourer and the naked roadster, however, are yet to be announced.
