Triumph Motorcycles has also joined the teaser bandwagon just ahead of the 2017 EICMA show. The British maker has released a teaser video of its new Tiger 800.
Unlike the traditional teasers, where manufacturers tend not to reveal anything major, the teaser from Triumph did manage to reveal quite a lot of informative. To start with, the design is a major evolution from the current one. In fact, the front and a bit of side profile have some connection to the bigger sibling, the Tiger Explorer 1200. The windscreen is larger than its predecessors and the bike is now equipped with LED daytime running lamps. The teaser also revealed the new TFT display that is seen on the Street Triple RS.
Mechanically, the new Tiger is expected to get a revised 800 inline-three motor. While the current model producss 93bhp and 79Nm, expect the new model to get a slight bump in power. This motor will be mated to a six-speed gearbox. For ride comfort and safety, expect Triumph to equip the new Tiger with multi-level traction control system and various riding models.
The Tiger range has been the highest selling model for Triumph in India. So we're expecting the compact to bring this bike to India soon after the global unveil. And just like most of the Triumps, the new Tiger will also by assembled in India.
