- Speed Triple 1200RR teased
- Sports Café Racer styled front fairing
- Global unveil on 14 September
Triumph Motorcycles has released another teaser video of its upcoming motorcycle – the Speed Triple 1200RR. From the looks of it, this could be a sporty café racer.
The last teaser didn’t reveal much, but this one managed to give out good information. For starters, the front fairing is almost visible. It reminds us of the Thruxton R, but this one is more modern and looks much better. The pillion seat gets a cover – making us believe that this could be a café racer, with seating option only for the rider.
Most of the performance aspects are likely to be borrowed from the Speed Triple. So things like 1160cc inline three- cylinder with 177bhp of power and peak torque of 125Nm could be seen on this bike. The gearbox will be six-speed with the possible option of a bi-directional quickshifter. Now because it is a RR model, expect it to get top-spec suspension, tyres and brakes.
Triumph will unveil the new Speed Triple 1200RR to the world on 14th September. Unfortunately, we don’t think this bike will come to India due to its price point. The Speed Triple 1200 right now is one expensive motorcycle due to which a lot of Indians aren’t preferring it. So it is obvious that the RR model won’t find many takers.
