Triumph has begun testing new a version of the Tiger in Spain. An early prototype was spotted testing last week that reveals a lot of information.
The spied prototype didn’t wear any camouflage but wasn’t in product form either. This makes us believe that it is an early stage prototype. The most interesting bits of this Tiger is the ride height, which has been reduced considerably. The front forks have less travel and there’s a new linkage on the rear monoshock. The subframe is new and is a bolt-on unit. The frame on the current Tigers are welded.
There’s an addition of LED daylight running lamps too but the bulbs are brighter on this Tiger. The mirrors resembles the ones on the new Street Triple RS. The British manufacturer has equipped this prototype with two radiator units instead of one. Triumph might power the new Tiger with a larger-capacity version of the current 800cc, say a 900cc engine. This mill would allow it to compete with the new Ducati Multistrada 950.
Will this new Tiger come to India? Definitely! But the official launch could at least be a year from now that means, we have to wait a bit more for this adventure bike.
