Triumph is offering the Track Racer Inspiration kit as standard equipment on the Thruxton R in the UK. It converts the bike into a retro-race bike, similar to the BMW nineT Racer which will launch in India tomorrow. The kit which costs GBP 1950 (Rs 1.6 lakhs) is available for free with every bike and is available only till the end of 2017.
The kit includes new LED turn indicators, white handlebar grips, fender removal kit, leather fuel tank strap and stainless steel Vance and Hines exhausts. This ‘Track Racer Inspiration’ kit is available in India at a price of Rs 81,357. You could also opt for a Café Racer kit which would set you back by Rs 65,086. This includes a tinted fly screen, fender removal kit, LED indicators, leather tank strap, tank side grips and grey handlebar grips.
The Thruxton R is based on the standard Thruxton. However, it is more performance focused. It is powered by a 1200cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, which produces 96bhp and 112Nm of torque.
