The Triumph Tiger 1200 XCx has been launched in India carrying a price tag of Rs 17 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). Around a similar budget, the Indian market offers eleven motorcycles with varied body styles that you could choose from. Here is what else you can buy at the price of the Tiger 1200 XCx.
While the Tiger 1200 XCx is an off-road focused adventure tourer, the list offers three similar motorcycles, although with road biased capabilities.
Up first is the Ducati Multistrada 1200 S priced at Rs 17.44 lakhs. The adventure-tourer gets alloy wheels and road tyres. Powering the bike is a 1200cc Testastretta engine that produces 160bhp and 136Nm of torque. The Aprilia Caponard 1200 ABS costs Rs 18.31 lakhs. It is powered by a 1197cc, V-Twin engine producing 125bhp and 115Nm of torque.
The BMW S 1000 XR would cost you Rs 17.5 lakhs. The bike shares its looks with the supersport S 1000 RR. However, being a tourer, the S1000 XR is equipped with long travel suspension, tall windscreen and split seats that are designed for comfortable long distance rides. The bike uses a 999cc in-line four engine that produces 165bhp and 114Nm of torque. You could also opt for the BMW S 1000 R; a streetfighter based on the S1000 RR. The bike is powered by a 999cc in-line four cylinder engine that produces 162bhp and 112 Nm of torque. It is priced at Rs 16.3 lakhs.
BMW also offers modern-classic motorcycles in the form of the R Nine T and R Nine T Racer. While the R Nine T gets spoke wheels and top-spec hardware, the Racer sports alloy wheels with a design inspired by café racers from the ‘70s. Both bikes are powered by a 1170cc, twin-cylinder boxer engine. It produces 110bhp and 116Nm of torque. The R Nine T is priced at Rs 17.3 lakhs whereas the R Nine T Racer retails at Rs 16.5 lakhs.
On offer is the Ducati XDiavel. The power cruiser sports a radical design and sports a more laid back riding position as compared to the Diavel. Powering the bike is a 1262cc, L-twin engine that puts out 153bhp and 128Nm of torque. The XDiavel is priced at Rs 16.48 lakhs. If the XDiavel is too menacing, Triumph offers a traditional cruiser, the Thunderbird LT at Rs 17.16 lakhs . It sports oodles of chrome, sweptback handlebars, leather saddlebags and spoke wheels with white wall tyres to complete the look. The Thunderbird LT uses a 1699cc, parallel-twin engine that churns out 94bhp and 151Nm of torque.
The only supersport motorcycle in this list is the MV Agusta F3 800. The bike sports sharp styling and a single sided swingarm for an elegant yet raw appeal. At the heart of the bike is a 798cc inline three-cylinder engine that produces 146bhp and 88Nm of torque. It is priced at Rs 17.25 lakhs.
