- Offered with the Tiger 800 XRx and XCx variants
- XRx is a road biased model and the XCx is an off-road trim
- Valid on all dealerships across India
Triumph Motorcycles India is offering free panniers on the purchase of the Tiger 800 XCx and the Tiger 800 XRx models. A pair of these aluminium panniers are worth Rs 1 lakh and the offer can be availed at all Triumph dealerships across India.
The Triumph Tiger 800 XRx is road biased model which rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels. These are shod with road-focussed Metzeler Tourance tyres. On the other hand, the Tiger 800 XCx is an off-road variant which gets spoke wheels; a larger 21-inch at the front and a 17-inch unit at the rear. While these are shod with Birdgestone Battlewing tyres, one can also opt for the Pirelli Scorpian Rally tyres which aid in off-road riding. Moreover, the XCx model comes equipped with WP upside down front forks and WP rear monoshock, as opposed to the Showa suspension set up on the XRx.
Powering the motorcycles is the same 800cc, three-cylinder, liquid cooled motor which pumps out 94bhp at 9,500rpm and 79Nm at 8,050rpm. Both the bikes get features such as switchable ABS, traction control, adjustable seat height, adjustable brake and clutch levers and a 12V USB power socket. While the XRx comes with four riding modes (rain, road, sport and off-road), the XCx gets an extra ‘off-road pro’ mode. All the information is displayed on a five-inch TFT instrument cluster.
The Triumph Tiger 800 XRx is priced at Rs 13.39 lakhs while the Tiger 800 XCx goes up to Rs 14.03 lakhs (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). The former competes against the BMW F750GS and the latter goes up against the BMW F850GS.
