Triumph has expanded the Tiger 800 range with the addition of two new models – the Tiger 800 XRT and the Tiger 800 XCA. While both these models are mechanically identical to the rest of the range, they get a few visual and technical upgrades which set them apart from the standard bikes.
Technically, the Tiger 800 XRA and the Tiger 800 XCA get a bigger 650W alternator to generate extra juice for the heated grips and seats, LED fog lights and for the other electronics that the rider might plug in. The Tiger 800 XRT gets a tyre pressure monitoring system, a CNC machined brake reservoir and an aluminium radiator guard, while the Tiger 800 XCA gets CNC machined pegs and an additional 12V auxiliary power socket. Both the models also get a GPS mounting kit and side rails at the rear to attach panniers.
The Tiger 800 XRT is available in a new intense orange paint scheme while the Tiger 800 XCA comes in matte khaki green. For now, both the new models are expected to be available only in the UK.
