-New dual-tone colours
- Roulette Green & Jet Black and Korosi Red & Graphite
- There are no mechanical changes
Triumph India has introduced two new colour options for the Tiger 850 Sport. The dual-tone colours are called Roulette Green & Jet Black and Korosi Red & Graphite.
The first colour is quite bold and is sure to catch everyone's attention on our roads. It features a high-viz, fluroscent green colour on the fuel tank, the tank extensions and part of the front mudguard. The beak and radiator shrouds are painted in contrasting black and on the whole the bike does look striking in this colour.
If you want something far more subtle, the Korosi Red & Graphite colour should appeal to your tastes. This colour scheme comprises a red coloured fuel tank with grey coloured tank extensions, beak and radiator shroud providing visual contrast.
With the introduction of these new colours, the Tiger 850 Sport is available in four colours, the other two being Graphite & Jet Black and Graphite Diablo Red.
Mechanically, there are no changes. The Triumph Tiger 850 Sport is powered by a 888cc, liquid-cooled, inline-triple engine. It makes 84bhp at 8,500rpm and 82Nm at 6,500rpm. This engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The Tiger 850 Sport has a tubular steel trellis frame that’s suspended by a Marzocchi 45mm USD fork and a preload adjustable Marzocchi monoshock. Braking duties are taken care of by twin 320mm discs with Brembo Stylema calipers at the front and a 255mm disc at the rear with a Brembo single piston sliding caliper.
The bike has a decent electronics suite with switchable traction control and two ride modes- Road and Rain.
The Triumph Tiger Sport is priced at Rs 11.95 lakh, ex-showroom. It competes with the Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE (Rs 10.30 lakh) and the Honda Transalp XL750 (Rs 11 lakh).
