- 2022 Tiger Sport 850 unveiled
- Gets new colours
-To be launched in India soon
Triumph is set to launch the 2022 Tiger 1200 range in India on 24 May. But now, the British marquee has unveiled the updated Tiger 900 models and the Tiger 850 Sport internationally.
For the new model year, the Tiger 850 Sport gets a new colour option- Graphite Baja Orange. This will be sold alongside the Graphite Caspian Blue and Graphite Diablo Red. However, apart from the new colour, the Tiger 850 Sport remains unchanged. It is powered by a 888cc, inline-three cylinder engine that produces 84bhp and 82Nm. These figures are lower than the rest of the range that offer 93.9bhp and 86.7Nm.
Even the cycle parts are different with the 850 Sport getting Marzochhi suspension and Brembo Stylema brakes. In terms of features it comes with a 5-inch full colour display and two riding modes- Road and Rain. It also gets switchable traction control, full-LED lighting and a USB charging port as standard.
Now, the Tiger 850 Sport is the most affordable model in the Tiger range. While the previous model was priced at Rs 11.95 lakh, we can expect the 2022 model to cost slightly higher. Nonetheless, it will continue to rival the BMW 850GS and the Ducati Multistrada V2 in the country.
