The Triumph Tiger 900 range has landed on the Indian shores, and the latest iteration of the middleweight adventure tourer is available in three variants. Previously, we brought you the detailed image gallery of the off-road spec Tiger 900 Rally series. This time, we bring you a comprehensive image gallery of the road-biased Tiger 900 GT.
Triumph has opted for a leaner design for the Tiger 900 series. The complete Tiger range features re-designed smaller-scale bodywork. The motorcycle is built around a new lightweight modular frame with bolt-on rear sub-frame and pillion hangers.
The road-biased Tiger 900 GT features alloy wheels with a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear setup. Triumph says that the Tiger 900 GT is designed for urban adventure, long-distance travel and everything in between.
The Tiger 900 GT is available in a single variant and three colour choices – Pure White, Sapphire Black and Korosi Red.
Standard equipment on the Tiger 900 GT include seven-inch TFT display, LED lighting, mobile phone storage, USB charging, switches with a five-way joystick, electronic cruise control and heated grips.
Mechanical specifications are identical on the complete Tiger 900 series. Thus, the Tiger 900 GT, similar to the Tiger 900 Rally range, uses an 888cc, inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 12-valve, DOHC engine that produces 93.9bhp at 8,750rpm and 87Nm at 7,250rpm. The motorcycle features four riding modes – Rain, Road, Sport and Off-road. The Triumph Shift Assist up and down quickshifter is available as an optional extra.
The new Tiger 900 series uses twin radiator set up that enable a further forward engine position for a more optimised centre of gravity.
Suspension duties are handled by Marzocchi 45mm upside-down forks at the front and Marzocchi mono-shock at the back. The front features manual rebound and compression damping adjustment. The rear can be manually adjusted for preload and rebound damping.
Braking setup includes twin 320mm floating discs with Brembo Stylema 4 piston Monobloc callipers at the front and a single 255mm disc with a Brembo single piston sliding calliper at the back. The safety comprises of cornering ABS and traction control with IMU.
The Triumph Tiger 900 GT is the most affordable model in the series, and it is available at Rs 13,70,000 (ex-showroom Pan India).
