The adventure motorcycle will be available in three variants- GT, Rally and Rally Pro. The Tiger 900 GT is a road-biased variant while the Rally range is focused on off-road riding. Nevertheless, all three variants are built on a new steel trellis frame and receive a complete cosmetic makeover lending the motorcycle a compact look.
Powering the Tiger 900 range is an 888cc, liquid-cooled, in-line three-cylinder motor that produces 93.9bhp of power at 8,750rpm and 87Nm of peak torque at 7,250rpm. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slip and an assist clutch. The top-spec Rally Pro model also gets a bi-directional quick-shifter as standard. Moreover, the list of features includes full-LED lighting, a full-colour TFT display, IMU, cornering ABS, traction control as well as various riding modes.
We can expect the new Triumph Tiger 900 range to be available at a starting price of around Rs 12.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Triumph dealers across India have also commenced bookings for the motorcycle for a token amount of Rs 50,000.
