- Recalled over a potentially faulty reflex reflector
- Recall began on 17 August
- The recall affects all markets except Brazil and China
Triumph Motorcycles has recalled its new Tiger 900 series over a minor issue. Triumph Motorcycles America stated that several trim levels of the Tiger 900 could suffer from a potentially faulty reflex reflector. The recall involves the 2020 Triumph Tiger 900, Tiger 900 Rally, Tiger 900 GT Low, Tiger 900 GT, Tiger 900 GT Pro and the Tiger 900 Rally Pro.
The recall notice stated that the rear reflex reflectors may detach, which may reduce the visibility of the motorcycle to other drivers. Such motorcycles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108 – Lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment.
The British brand will notify the owners, and dealers will replace the rear reflex reflectors, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on 17 August 2020. The company has also asked its dealers to stop the deliveries of the Tiger 900 range immediately and complete the procedures described in this Safety Recall Action Notice.
The recall affects all markets except Brazil and China. The Tiger 900 series is already available for sale in the Indian market.
