Triumph Motorcycles has informed us through an invite about a launch of a new motorcycle on September 18. The launch will happen in New Delhi and nothing more has been revealed by the company.
While the Indian web is speculating about the possible launch of the new 250cc, we think the British manufacturer may launch one of the motorcycles from their Touring line-up. The reason we say this is because during the launch of the motorcycle range last year, the company mentioned about its intentions to get the entire motorcycle line-up. Currently, we have the Adventure, Classics, Cruisers, Roadsters and Supersports. The only missing range is the Touring and that’s why it might be launched on September 18.
Under the Touring series, there are three motorcycles – Sprint GT SE, Trophy and Trophy SE. There is a high chance of the Trophy coming to India, because other two motorcycles are special editions. If any of the Touring models come to India, it will be mostly via the completely-built-up (CBU) route and will compete with the BMW K1600GT and the Harley-Davidson Street Glide.
