Earlier last year, Triumph had unveiled four new iterations of its popular adventure touring model – the Tiger 800. While it is no secret that these models would be gradually launched in India, rumour mills suggest that the company is planning to unveil these new models at the IBW 2015, next week. And though Triumph hasn’t officially confirmed this yet, the IBW does seem like the perfect platform for the Indian debut of these new motorcycles.
Of the four new Tiger 800 models, the XRx and the XCx have already been launched and priced in the UK, while the XR and XC are yet to hit the showrooms. While the Tiger 800 XRx is more focussed towards long distance touring, the Tiger 800 XCx has a more of an off-road character to it. While the launch of these motorcycle might still be a while away, the prospect of getting to see these models in the flesh sure is exciting.
While Harley-Davidson used to be the only motorcycle brand associated with IBW until now, a lot of premium manufacturers have started to sit up and take notice of the event, owing to the large enthusiast crowd that it attracts. Besides Triumph, other manufacturers like Ducati, Vespa, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Benelli have also partnered with the organisers to get a piece of the action. IBW will take place in Vagator, Goa, on February 20 and 21.
