Triumph Motorcycles India has commenced the deliveries of the new Trident 660 in the country. The motorcycle was launched in the Indian market with prices starting from Rs 6.95 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India) onwards. The Trident 660 is currently the most affordable product from the British marque in the Indian market. The motorcycle rivals the Kawasaki Z650 in the Indian market.
The motorcycle is powered by a 660cc, inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Linked to a six-speed transmission, the motor produces 79.8bhp at 10,250rpm and 64Nm of peak torque at 6,250rpm. An assist and a slipper clutch mechanism comes as standard while a quickshifter is available as an optional extra.
The styling cues include a round headlight at the front, a contemporary fuel tank with knee cut-outs, a rear tyre hugger-mounted numberplate, an underslung exhaust, and a flat-style handlebar. The feature list on the Trident 660 includes full-LED lighting and a Bluetooth-ready instrument cluster. The Bluetooth module is available as an optional extra. It is available in a single variant and four colours options – Matt Jet Black & Matt Silver Ice, Silver Ice & Diablo Red, Crystal White, and Sapphire Black.
