- Bookings already commenced
Triumph Motorcycles will launch the Trident 660 in India on 6 April. And the most-affordable motorcycle from Triumph is expected to be priced between Rs 6-7 lakh, putting it in direct competition with the Kawasaki Z650 that costs Rs 5.94 lakh.
Now, the Trident 660 is built on a tubular steel perimeter frame that holds a 660cc, inline-three cylinder engine that churns out 79.8bhp and 64Nm. The high-revving engine is paired to a six-speed transmission.
Triumph has also made sure to equip the Trident 660 to the brim. It comes with two ride modes- Road and Rain, switchable traction control, and throttle-by-wire. There also is a TFT screen that would come with a Bluetooth module for phone, message, and GoPro control access if you pay extra.
As for styling, the Triumph Trident 660 has a simple-looking design compared to its rival. There is a round headlamp with full-LED lighting, a muscular fuel-tank, as well as a single-piece seat with a clean tail section. Triumph is likely to offer the Trident 660 in a choice four colour options– Matt Jet Black & Matt Silver Ice, Silver Ice & Diablo Red, Crystal White, and Sapphire Black.
