Triumph recently took the wraps off the stylish-looking Tribute edition of the Trident 660 for the international markets. This special edition of the mid-size roadster will be produced only for a year. But what makes it so special and exclusive?
The motorcycle pays homage to the five-time Isle of Man TT production class-winning motorcycle, the Slippery Sam.
Also known as the T150 Trident, the motorcycle claimed victory at the ultimate road racing event for five consecutive years between 1971 and 1975.
The tribute has been paid only on the visual front with a Slippery Sam-inspired colour scheme which is a triple-tone combination of white, blue, and red shades.
Besides the special livery, Triumph is offering a belly pan, a body-coloured fly screen, and a bidirectional quick shifter as standard with this iteration.
The mechanical side of things remains identical to the standard Trident 660. It is powered by a 660cc, inline-triple engine that develops 80bhp and 64Nm.
In India, the Triumph Trident 660 is priced at Rs. 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom). Now, whether the Tribute edition will arrive at our shores is still known yet.
