Triumph has unveiled the first ‘official’ custom motorcycle based on the Street Twin, for the Bike Shed Paris motorcycle show in France. A brainchild of Down and Out Café Racers, this Street Twin draws inspiration from the old-school scrambler bikes of the 1970s and 1980s.
This Street Twin’s builders decided to go with a candy orange paint scheme, which contrasts beautifully with the blacked out chassis and engine. The massive 150 section front and 180 section rear button tyres coupled with the spoke wheels give this Street Twin a rugged look. These wheels along with other details like the chopped fenders, minimalistic rear section, flat handlebar and the seat give it the quintessential character of a Scrambler.
This Street Twin also incorporates other custom bits and pieces like custom indicators, black headlamp guard, sports levers and chain guard. The Triumph Street Twin is powered by an 899cc ‘high torque’ engine delivers 80Nm of torque through a six-speed transmission. This specific Street Twin breathes out of a megaphone exhaust system.
Given that customisation forms a big part of a classic motorcycle's appeal, Triumph offers the new Bonneville range with several pre-customised kits, called Inspiration kits. While you can’t exactly buy the Street Twin in this specific form, you can opt to customise the motorcycle in Brat Tracker, Scrambler or Urban trims. Customers can contact their local Triumph dealers to get the new Bonneville range personalised according to their taste.
