Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled two new 2013 versions of the Rocket III motorcycle – the Roadster and the Touring. Both the motorcycles have got lots of cosmetic changes to making them look even meaner.
The 2.3-litre engine of the Rocket III Roadster now has increased power and torque, thanks to the omission of the torque limiter. The 2294cc three-cylinder liquid-cooled engine now produces peak power of 146bhp at 5750rpm and peak torque of 221Nm at 2750rpm. Anti-lock-breaking system (ABS) is standard for both the motorcycles.
However the 2.3-litre of the Rocket III Touring develops less power and torque compare to the Roadster version. This engine produces power of 105bhp at 6000rpm and torque of 203Nm at 25000rpm. Additionally, this model also features a passenger backrest and wind-shield to give it cruising capabilities. Both bikes will go on sale from April 2013.
