British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph has unveiled a special edition model of it popular adventure motorcycle, the Tiger Explorer. Called Tiger Explorer XC Special Edition, this model will be used by the motorcycle expedition team Globebusters and will be produced in a limited run of just 50 motorcycles.
The Tiger Explorer XC Special Edition has been equipped with several upgrades and comes in two new paint schemes and decals. Besides the standard motorcycle's cruise control, switchable ABS and traction control, it comes equipped with a sat nav system with mount, a tank pad, panniers, roll bag and a set of continental TKC 80 tyres. It also gets a taller windscreen, headlight protectors, radiator guards, CNC machined front foot rests, heated rider seat and grips.
The Tiger Explorer XC Special Edition is powered by the same 1215cc three-cylinder liquid-cooled engine which produces 135bhp and 121Nm of torque. The Tiger Explorer XC Special Edition is available either in matt blazing orange or matt black. Deliveries in the UK are expected to commence in April 2015, with prices starting at GBP 13,999 (Rs 13.38 lakh).
