- 2023 Speed Twin and Speed Scrambler unveiled
- Adorned with new colours
- Could be launched in India by end of 2022
Triumph Motorcycles has spruced up its entire line-up of motorcycles for 2023. While we reported about the updated Speed Twin 1200 recently, the smaller and most-affordable offerings in the range also get an update.
Previously called the Street Twin and Street Scrambler, the motorcycles have now been renamed to Speed Twin 900 and Speed Scrambler 900. The reason for this is interesting and we’ll touch upon it in another report. Well, apart from being rechristened, the models get a new colour each.
To begin with, the Speed Twin 900 is now offered in Matt Silver Ice, which mixes matte grey with silver and neon yellow graphics on the tank. The rest of the motorcycle is mainly blacked-out. Along with the new colour, the Speed Twin 900 is also available in Matt Ironstone and Jet Black which were already offered with the previous model.
Then there is the Speed Scrambler 900 that comes in a new dual-tone combination called Carnival Red and Jet Black. Essentially, the bike gets the red paint scheme on the tank with black stripes running around it. It also gets a Matt Khaki colour option as well. Now, besides the new colours both the Speed Twin 900 and the Speed Scrambler 900 remain the same in terms of character, engine, features and tech. While the Twin is a roadster, the Scrambler as its name suggests is more off-road friendly with high-set exhausts and spoke wheels.
While the two models, along with the other 2023 models will be offered in international markets soon, it is likely to be offered in India by the end of this year.
