- Will be powered by a 299cc, liquid-cooled motor
- Test mule features 19/17-inch wheels
- India launch in mid-2025
The upcoming TVS 300cc adventure bike has been spied testing in India. The motorcycle was seen wearing heavy camouflage to mask its details. Although unconfirmed, the upcoming ADV could be called the TVS Apache RTX 300.
The spy images suggest that the TVS ADV could be a road-biased adventure touring motorcycle with limited off-road credentials. Why do we say that? If you look closely, the bike is running on alloy wheels and resembles a 19/17-inch wheels combination. That said, TVS could also introduce an off-road capable version with 21/17-inch spoke wheels as an option. But, that variant will come later.
As for its design, the spy shots reveal that the TVS adventure bike features proper ADV styling with a large semi-fairing, tall windscreen, big fuel tank, and a sleek tail section with split seats. It also gets a beak fender to enhance its ADV styling.
A trellis frame and a separate sub-frame will underpin the motorcycle. Meanwhile, suspension tasks are handled by upside-down forks up front and a monoshock at the back. As we mentioned earlier, the test mule was seen running on 19/17-inch alloy wheels, but TVS could also introduce an off-road version with a 21-inch front tyre and spoke wheels.
As we had mentioned in our exclusive story, the upcoming TVS adventure bike is expected to be powered by a 300cc motor. This is likely to be the new 299cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled RTX D4 motor that the company recently showcased at TVS MotoSoul 2024. The engine produces 35bhp at 9,000rpm and a peak torque of 28.5Nm at 7,000rpm. The motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The engine comes with a ride-by-wire throttle system. So, we can expect the motorcycle to get multiple ride modes and a traction control system as well. Other features could include LED lighting, switchable dual-channel ABS, and perhaps adjustable suspension as an option.
The TVS 300cc adventure bike is in the final stages of development and testing. The road-biased version is likely to go on sale in mid-2025. That said, the off-road variant with 21/17-inch spoke wheels is expected to be launched later. Once launched, we expect the TVS adventure bike to fill the void between the upcoming Hero Xpulse 210 and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
