New spy shots of the TVS Akula 310 have been circulating over the internet revealing a few crucial details about the motorcycle.
The Akula 310 will get a completely redesigned fully-digital instrument cluster, different from the one in the BMW G310 R or the Apache RTR 200 4V. It also gets a different set of clip-on handlebars. The photos also reveal that the Akula 310 borrows a few bits and pieces like the switchgear, turn indicators, footpegs and the mirrors from the Apache range. The Akula 310 is powered by the 313cc single-cylinder mill from the G310 R, delivering 34bhp and 28Nm of torque through a six-speed gearbox. The Akula 310 rides on inverted front forks and a rear monoshock like the G310 R, and also gets the radially mounted front disc brake. It gets Michelin Pilot Street radial tyres.
The TVS Akula 310 will be the company’s first fully-faired production motorcycle. Expected to go on sale in this quarter, the Akula 310 will share the market space with the likes of the Honda CBR 250R and the KTM RC200.
