The road going version of the TVS Akula 310 concept, which was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo has been spotted testing for the second time. The first set of spy shots showcased the front of the motorcycle and this second spotting is a video showing the rear of the heavily cladded motorcycle.
Just like the first time, the Akula 310 was spied on the outskirts of Bangalore. The motorcycle was bearing a temporary Karnataka registration, which is home ground for TVS. The spy pictures can give us an idea of the high rear end and the sporty stance of the upcoming motorcycle. The individual who captured these shots also revealed that he could not keep up with this motorcycle while he was aboard his Bajaj Pulsar RS200.
Which shouldn’t come as a surprise since the Akula has been built on the BMW G310R platform. It gets a liquid cooled 313cc single cylinder petrol mill mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. The BMW developed engine develops 34bhp of power and 28Nm of torque. The concept also got adjustable suspension, a steering damper to stress on its track focus, which mostly won’t make it to the road-ready version.
From the looks of it, the motorcycle is keeping most of its styling and features headlights in place of the air ducts it had cut out on the concept motorcycle. We can expect TVS to launch this motorcycle shortly after BMW launches the G310R.
